In the Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Global Studies you can select either 2 Majors or 1 Major with 2 Minors - you will have some flexibility to change this later if necessary

Majors

A Major consists of  80cp in prescribed units in one discipline normally including at least 10cp at introductory (100) level, at least 40cp at 200-level or above and at least 20cp from 300-level.

Select either 2 different Majors or 1 Major from below:

*Note: Students choosing to study two Majors cannot choose both Study of Religions and Theological Studies. Students may study a Major in Theological Studies and a MInor in Study of Religions (or vise versa) but cannot study both of these areas as Majors.

Minors (only for students who are not studying 2 Majors)

A Minor is a total of 40cp from prescribed units in one discipline or approved interdisciplinary area, normally including at least 10cp at introductory (100) level and at least 20cp at advanced level.

Select 2 Minors different to your Major from below:

Your Course Map (located on the main page of your Course Enrolment Guide) will show the units you should be studying and the level of study (100-, 200-, or 300-level)

Example: The Course Map may advise you to enrol in the following:

• one unit for your Major
• one unit for Minor 1
• one unit for Minor 2
• one Elective Unit.

The Unit Listings are located in the Unit Selection section of the Course Enrolment Guide. This document shows all Arts units offered in the current year which can be used for your Major, Minor or Electives.

First-year students need to enrol in 100-level units (e.g. ARTS112, COMM102, MUSC161) during their first year of study. The level of a unit is always determined by the first number of the unit code.
