Requirements for Completing the Global Studies Sequence
This sequence consists of 120 credit points (cp) studied in Global Studies.
Global Studies units are common across all of the Global Studies double degrees but sit in different semesters depending on the particular double degree. Your course map shows when to study the Global Studies units alongside your other specified units and those of your Major/Minor (where relevant)
Global Studies units for students starting their degree in 2018 or later
There are four types of Global Studies units:
| Specified / Core units | Global Studies units from Lists A, B and C | Overseas units | Global Studies Electives |
HIST115, POLS104 and GLST305 | Students study one unit from each list at the time specified in the course map (there may be one or more units available from each list each year. If there is one unit on offer, you will need to enrol in that. If there is more than one, you may choose any unit from the required list for which you have the pre-requisite).
| 40cp of study abroad or international internship (one semester) See Information about the Study Abroad or Global Studies International Internship Program (GSIIP) | These are normally advanced level 200 or 300-level units from an extended Global Studies elective list. (You may choose any unit from the elective list for which you have the pre-requisite). |
