GLST303 - Global Study Abroad C

10 cp
Prerequisites: 120 cp of study
Teaching Organisation: Students will spend a semester abroad. Teaching and learning strategies will vary according to the country chosen and the option selected.

In order to bolster students' learning about the social, political, cultural, environmental and economic changes that are shaping the world, a period of study abroad/exchange is offered as a compulsory part of the Global Studies degree. This can take the form of study at one of ACU's 60 plus partner universities in Asia, Europe and North and South America or of working in an approved internship. Students could follow a unit of relevance to their dual degree, learn a new language or improve on existing knowledge of a language or have an international work experience in an approved internship. Students will return from the experience with a deeper knowledge of the world outside Australia, a heightened awareness of another culture and possibly language and new insights that will make them more employable in the global market place. In exceptional circumstances students may be allowed to undertake this experience in Australia with an organization that interacts internationally.
